Former helloworld Volleyroos captain, Rachel Rourke, is continuing to return big numbers in the Chinese women’s volleyball league.
Rourke had 32 points and 20 points respectively for her club, Sichuan Institute Sports Skills, in the first round of fixtures for 2017.
Her club won the opening fixture, 3-1, but lost the second encounter 1-3.
Elsewhere, Katarina Osadchuk had three points and an ace in the 3-1 win of her Polish club, LKS Lodz, while Beth Carey’s German club, Suhl, suffered a 3-0 loss.
There were no matches for Karley Hynes’ German club, Wiesbaden.
Meanwhile WA’s Sophie Godfrey has joined Romanian club, Timisoara. We look forward to watching her progress in the weeks to come.
