Volleyball Australia (VA) is the National Governing Body for the sport of volleyball (both indoor and beach volleyball) in Australia.

VA selects national teams each year, known as the Volleyroos, to represent the nation internationally, covering the Olympic Games (indoor and beach), World Championships (indoor and beach), Commonwealth Games (beach), the Volleyball Nations League (indoor), the FIVB World Tour (beach), Asian Championships (indoor and beach) and Asian Tour events (beach) as well as other events from time to time.50 to 60 elite athletes make up the squads from which these teams are selected.

VA also operates the VA Centre of Excellence in Canberra for talented young volleyballers (beach and indoor) whose aim is to become Volleyroos, through this full time program.

With support from the AIS, VA is seeking to appoint an Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement Manager to work with the VA High Performance Director and the national team High Performance and Coaching staff, to work with those athletes to ensure that aspects of their life off the court are in good order, to enable them pursue the sport at the high performance level, whilst looking after their personal wellbeing and development.The AIS and other experts provide the services and support necessary to advise and assist the athletes, as facilitated by the Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement Manager.

The position is a part time role, and is expected to be for 2 to 3 days per week.The city where the Manager will be based is open at this stage.The Position Description is attached.
