AUSTRALIA'S PREMIER BEACH EVENT REACHES NEW HEIGHTS

VOLLEYFEST SET TO BE A SELL OUT

Manly Beach will be the place to be from Saturday November 18 - Sunday November 26 for Australia's premier beach event, Volleyfest!

There has been a massive surge on tickets with less than 100 left for Men's and Women's World Tour Finals on the final weekend of Volleyfest November 25 and 26.

The Corporate boxes have been a big hit too with companies keen to entertain their staff and clients with a day they'll long remember. Companies are coming from all over Australia with complete boxes sold to interstate companies.

The boxes have great views, are fully catered and provide the perfect vantage spot to see up close these supreme elite athletes from home and abroad putting on a mighty show.

Speaking of shows no expense has been spared for Saturday night after the Men's World Tour Finals with Anja Nissen (winner of the Voice) and Cyrus (winner of X Factor) providing top class entertainment as well as the biggest fireworks display Manly will have ever seen.

No wonder fans are scrambling for tickets with 32 nations from around the world entered along with the very best of Australian talent also heading to Sydney from all over the country to be a part of the biggest beach event of any type in Australia.

Celebrities and sports stars also getting among the action with the likes of NRL legends Steve Menzies, Matt Cooper and even Australian rock icon Angry Anderson taking part in a celebrity Beach Volleyball challenge in the middle of Vollleyfest on Tuesday November 21 at 10am.

Volleyball Australia president Craig Carracher says the size of this event is unprecedented "Ticket sales are through the roof and from sales we know that people will be coming from all over the country with tickets sold in every state. The corporate sector will also be arriving en masse with complete boxes sold to interstate companies to be part of this huge event. Combine that with the 32 countries attending and we have built the biggest most complicated engineered event since Bondi for Sydney 2000."

We all remember Beach Volleyball from Sydney 2000 when Kerri Pottharst and Natalie Cook made Australia proud, well a new chapter is about to be written with the sport set to make it's Commonwealth Games debut. And what better place to do it than on the golden sands of Coolangatta, April next year.

Australia as the host nation will receive automatic qualification for one men and one women's team and our best Beach Volleyball players will start batting it out to impress selectors because the first weekend of Volleyfest is also the first of three Commonwealth games selection events to be held around the country.
